Chris Whittington has recently led a lunchtime session for ChaplaincyPlus introducing Christian Meditation, “Seeing Clearly – Acting with Compassion”.
Chris was introduced to meditation in the Christian tradition at 19 when living at the Benedictine Monastery of Prinknash Abbey, spent a period as COO of WCCM, the World Community for Christian Meditation, and regularly gives talks and leads retreats across the UK. He is also a Partner and Head of Education Law at Anthony Collins Solicitors.
Chris is happy for anyone to contact him directly if they have any questions or want to discuss anything from the session: contact details are included at the end of the notes, in the link above.
The feedback from this session was very positive:
“I was very excited about attending this session and I have to say, it lived up to my expectations. Chris is an excellent speaker and it was a very inspiring session. This is about getting back to God with God at the centre of everything.”
“I liked the detail given around meditation, but also appreciated Chris’s explanation on what a simple act it is too.”
“An oasis in the midst of the working day. Also very informative. Would like more of this type of session.”
Chris will be running his next ChaplaincyPlus Meditation session on the Monday in Holy Week, Monday 15 April from 1-2pm at Gowling WLG: put the date in your diary and book your free place here: https://chaplaincyplus.org.uk/events/peaceinourselves
As always, if you would like to discuss anything from this with one of the ChaplaincyPlus team, there’s an open offer there too:
