Are there times when it feels challenging to hold to the truth at work? Do you sometimes feel that “commerciality” can push you to cross the line into the territory of compromise and cover-up? Both in our substantive work and in dealing with office politics, do we have the courage to hold to the authentic truth?
Any women who want to focus on these challenges are welcome to come to our January City Women lunch, where Rebecca Reading will draw on her own front-line experiences of holding to the truth, despite the challenges. Rebecca is a partner at Baker Tilly accountants. Join us on Tuesday 13 January 2015 from 1:05-1:55pm at Brewin Dolphin, 9 Colmore Row, Birmingham, B3 2BJ (to the left, as you approach the entrance to Snow Hill Station). Click here for a map for Brewin Dolphin.
As always, you are welcome to invite colleagues and friends to join us for our City Women lunch. Rebecca will speak from her Christian perspective, but the session will be accessible to all women, wherever they are on the spectrum of faith or inquiry.
And more generally, as always, we’re here if you want to be in touch now or at any stage, as you engage with your work within the Birmingham business community. Feel free to email Sarah Thorpe or call on 0121 236 9742.
Please bring your own lunch.
There is no charge for attending this event.
