‘Carols for the Business Community’ 2017 edition Thrice!

‘Carols for the Business Community’ 2017 edition Thrice!

There’s nothing quite like the sound of carol singing – it exudes warmth, hope, beauty, wonder and with the right instrumental accompaniment perhaps a sense of nostalgic longing.

This year we will be hosting not two but three Carols for the Community services.

As well as two services at St Philips Cathedral on Wednesday the 13th of December, we’re delighted to be co-hosting a carol event with St Luke’s Gas Street on Friday the 8th of December too.

Each of these one-hour gatherings features beautifully orchestrated carols, a short, engaging talk and yes, mince pies.

Friday the 8th of December

For people working in or around Brindleyplace or Broad St. this 1pm carol service at St Luke’s Gas Street is a short walking distance away. Our speaker is Jonny Mellor, from ChurchCentral. Jonny leads Sputnik, a national creative arts network supporting artists with a Christian worldview and is a winsome communicator and speaker.

Wednesday the 13th of December

Our speaker at St Philips Cathedral this year is Krish Kandiah, the founder of Home for Good – a movement of individuals and churches who believe that every child should have a safe and loving home where they can thrive. Krish is an internationally renowned author and speaker and will bring a fresh perspective to the Christmas story.

Our singing will be accompanied the cathedral pipe organ and the Barclays Bank Brass Band.

So the ChaplaincyPlus team heartily invites you to join us at one of these 60-minute gatherings. The more, the merrier!
