I continue with the monthly challenge for us to consider simple ways we can be disciples of Jesus in our workplaces who reflect His character and so bless and bring HOPE to our neighbours in the place where we spend most of our time.
May we through our action and word mission follow the commandment of Jesus to:
Love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind and with all our strength. And then to Love our neighbours as ourselves.
This month let us follow Jesus’ example and be those who are committed to be praying in our workplaces:
For God’s will to be done there.
Can we offer to pray if we know people are ill?
Can we pray asking for guidance on answering questions such as “How was your weekend?”
Can we pray for the mind of Jesus when tackling difficult/complex work situations?
Could we come in early and pray over the desks of our colleagues where relationships with individuals or the team are not where they should be. For neighbours in the workplace, our colleagues and clients, who don’t know Jesus.
Continue to pray for those you pass as you carry out regular tasks. For instance as you walk to the photo copying machine or to the drinks station.
