    1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Victoria Square House, Victoria Square, Birmingham, West Midlands, B2 4BU

How do we overcome the challenges in life, building resilience that can sustain us in our work and beyond?

Sue Noyes is passionate about facing into challenges with honesty and integrity. She’s had to put this into practice both in the work context, as Chief Exec of East Midlands Ambulance Service, and in her personal life, living through illness.

At our combined City Women/City Men Lunch, Sue will share with us three recent phone calls that were life-changing; the choices she made in response to them; and the lessons she learned.

Sue is a part of the ChaplaincyPlus network – and she can do people and numbers! She is a Non-Exec Director at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospitals, Chair of Governors of Coventry College, and of two charities; and now a qualified Coach and Mentor, with a special focus on career development.

She was Chief Executive of the East Midlands Ambulance Service for two and a half years, where she drove a major organisational improvement programme, with a recognised focus on improving staff wellbeing.

Her background is as a Chartered Accountant who joined the NHS originally in the 1990s, and who stayed for over twenty five years, working for much of that time as a Finance Director in a variety of settings. ‘Living her purpose’ and ‘making a difference’ are at the core of why Sue does what she does.

This event will be accessible to Christians of all denominations and to people of all faiths and none.

You can either book a free ticket and bring your own lunch or book a £3 ticket with a light sandwich lunch included.
