Living through Times of Uncertainty and Change
We may each have different reasons for the uncertainty and change we face in our working lives. For you, perhaps it’s the uncertainty that Brexit brings to your workplace, perhaps you’re experiencing change in your team or role, considering a move into a new role or even being forced to consider this. Any of these things can bring both professional and personal challenges to each of us. Uncertainty and change in the workplace encourages us to ask deeper questions about where we place our trust. Emily Jones will share her own experiences, reflecting on how her faith in God has been relevant through times of change and uncertainty.
About the speaker: Emily Jones
Emily has worked at Gowling WLG for sixteen years, starting out in legal and moving to an IT role six years ago. She has recently joined the ChaplaincyPlus team as 20s to 30s Network Coordinator, sharing this role with Ruth Jeavons. Outside work, Emily is an active member of her church, hosting a ladies home group and serving in community outreach.
There’ll also be a chance to meet Ruth Jeavons, who is sharing the 20s and 30s Network Coordinator role with Emily. Ruth studied medicine at university and worked as a doctor for some years. She has also worked in an acute mental health setting and been an administrator on a mental health peer support for some five years.
This event will be accessible to Christians of all denominations and to people of all faiths and none.
