Jesus, Myth, Legend or History?
Can we know anything about his life, death and resurrection?
The Christian faith is based around the historical figure of Jesus of Nazareth, but can we really know anything about him- his life or his death? And what about his resurrection? Is there any reason to believe the Christian version of these events, or are they just a matter of faith?
IS FAITH REASONABLE? is delighted to host an evening to think about exactly these questions with renowned speaker Dr Peter Williams. The evening will feature a light buffet, a presentation by Dr Williams and then an extended time of Q and A.
Peter J Williams is the Principal of Tyndale House, a Bible research institute in Cambridge. He received his MA, MPhil and PhD from Cambridge University in the study of ancient languages related to the Bible and has since been a lecturer at the University of Cambridge and the University of Aberdeen. The Greek New Testament Produced at Tyndale House, of which Dr Williams is an editor, was published in 2017 and in 2018, Dr Williams’s book Can We Trust the Gospels? was published by Crossway.
