A Word for Birmingham in our New Reality
Date and Time
Tue 20 Oct
- October 20, 2020
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
In the First Century, Paul wrote individual letters to some of the first ever groups of Christians. Each group was dealing with a particular situation in their church context. As we come to terms with the lessons and hardships that 2020 has brought, there is growing awareness that we are grappling with a new reality. Our message will focus on one of Paul’s letters and will examine how the wisdom of Scripture can speak into our situation in Birmingham today.
About our speaker: Jonathan Wright is a partner at Knights, heading up the Property Team in Birmingham. He has practised as a property lawyer in and around the City for 22 years. Having trained at Eversheds in Birmingham, he worked in Coventry, Solihull and London with US Firm Reed Smith, becoming partner in Reed Smith spin-off Hill Hofstetter in 2009 and then Fieldfisher, after they acquired Hill Hofstetter in 2016. He was delighted to return to our City in 2019 with Emms Gilmore Liberson who were then acquired by Knights later that year.
Outside of work, he was part of the team that planted City Church Birmingham in 1999. In 2017 he helped launch Kenilworth Community Church in Warwickshire and is now part of the leadership team there. He is a regular speaker on both Property Law and the Bible (albeit is more passionate about the latter). He is married to Anna and is the father of three boys.
