The values that underpin ChaplaincyPlus’ culture and ethos are:
ChaplaincyPlus is a Christian support network in the Birmingham business community.
We believe that when people engage with the Bible lives can change for good: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).
We believe that prayer is transformative: “in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6).
We believe that God is at work at the heart of our business community: “Know that I am with you and will keep you wherever you go” (Genesis 28:15).
We believe that Jesus offers to individuals, our business community and our city “life in all its fullness” (John 10:10).
Our Trinitarian faith is enshrined and expressed in the historic creeds of the church:
We believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit;
born of the Virgin Mary;
suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell,
the third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
from where He will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit;
the holy Christian Church;
the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body;
and the life everlasting.
ChaplaincyPlus is a Christian charity based in Birmingham which supports the wellbeing of the business community through our Christian Business Network.
