We are looking forward to welcoming Julie Jones to speak at the next City Women lunch on Shrove Tuesday 4th March.
Julie is an experienced businesswoman, who has previously worked for British Aerospace and KPMG and now works as Chief Executive Officer and Diocesan Secretary in the Lichfield Anglican Diocese. Julie has a strong Christian commitment and is passionate about living out her Christian faith in all aspects of her working life. She also has strong Birmingham links: she lives in the city and her husband is rector at St Martin in the Bullring. Julie has three children and is really looking forward to her eldest daughter’s wedding in July this year; and she’s also passionate about tennis!
Julie will be speaking on “The Pain of Managing Change”. What does it feel like to be the change agent, the person who’s implementing change? We often focus on the effect of change on the people on the receiving end – but what are the considerations and challenges when you are responsible for managing change? It takes both head and heart level intelligence; and it may be necessary to manage conflict. Julie will share examples from her own workplace experience, highlighting key considerations and touching on the particular impact of managing change as a Christian.
You are welcome to invite colleagues and friends to join us for our City Women lunch. Julie will speak from her Christian rootedness, but the session will be accessible to all women, wherever they are on the spectrum of faith or inquiry.
We will meet from 1.05-1.55pm at Shakespeares solicitors, Somerset House, Temple Street, Birmingham, B2 5DJ. For a map, click here.
Lunch is provided and the cost is just £7. To book your place, click here and complete the Booking Form at the bottom of the page and then you will get a “Buy Now” link to pay via Paypal. Alternatively email Sarah Thorpe.
