We met in the ChaplaincyPlus office on Thursday 20 October to discuss Corporate Social Responsibility. Joining us were Jason Lowther who is the Head of Strategy at Birmingham City Council and Tim Fawssett who is Project Manager at The Feast.
The Feast is a Christian charity striving for community cohesion, by empowering young people to spearhead social change. The Feast brings groups of Christian and Muslim young people together to discuss their faith in a safe and respectful way, form real frienships and find constructive ways to make the world a better place. Tim was keen to discuss how young adults from the Business Community might be able to help the young people that come to the Feast.
Jason is supporting the development of the “Big Society” in Birmingham with a particular interest in how local businesses can develop their corporate social responsibility work to maximise its impact and we were able to discuss some ideas together about how this might be achieved.
