- Religion: Cause of Hate or Source of Peace
February 7, 2018
6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
This is a talk and discussion hosted by Krish Kandiah.
Religion is perhaps more of a contentious area of conversation
and debate than ever before. Many people point to religion
as the primary cause of conflict throughout the ages.
Others claim that their religious beliefs and practices are
the true source of compassion, sacrificial love and harmony.
Krish Kandiah is in demand as a speaker both nationally and internationally. He is the Founding Director of Home for Good, an ambassador for Tearfund, and has previously been the Director of the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics, President at the London School of Theology, and a tutor at Oxford University. Combining his professional experience with his personal story, Krish will be exploring the place of religion within our secular society and specifically whether Christianity’s exclusive truth claims can still be considered appropriate in the modern world.
After the talk, he will be hosting an extended time of Q&A on these themes.
A light meal will be provided.
